The journey to higher education is a difficult one. This is especially true for low-income students who may not have the same resources and help as their peers or even for first-generation students who are the first ones in their families to ever pursue the idea of college. However, these difficulties are only obstacles, and you are an overcomer. If you are a first-generation student, have a mixed-status household, come from a low-income community, have a language barrier, or just have no clue where to begin, we are your FAFSA friend. As your friend, we would like to inspire you with the story of Brianna Castro's journey to college and the obstacles she faced and overcame.
